Hawaiian Temple Bodywork

Recently, I've been studying and practicing Hawaiian Temple Bodywork (Sacred Lomi) and am very excited about it!  It has allowed me to get into my "Healer" mind and has put me on a journey of expansion and Aloha, of growth and love.  My primary interest is to bring Lomi to Chicago.  So ask me about it and I'll be more than happy to tell you about the classes and the joy of giving and receiving this wonderful work.  I'm still trying to find my own words for this healing modality.  You may return to this page only to find it totally changed.

Sacred Lomi is a style or lineage of Lomi Lomi tought by Tom Cochran and Donna Jason.   Hawaiian Temple Bodywork integrates physical and energetic healing techniques with flowing forearm movements, conscious breathwork, ritual dance(footwork/steps..I like to think of it as a dance), a strong presence, the essence of Aloha and the acknowledgement of sacred space.  Personally, This is a wonderful form of Shamanic healing which has an effect on both the Giver and the Receiver.

While receiving, one might cry, laugh, have feelings of peace, joy... you might drift off into sleep, do astral travel, or just lay there and take in the movements of the giver's arms.  You might have sexual feelings come up..feelings of anger....or total calm, a true opportunity to totally let go and be like the child in the womb.  Because of the amount of sliding along the body that the forearm does, nothing stays in the same place in your body.  By the end you feel like you've been wrung out completely!  Emotionally, physically, mentally, and/or even spiritually.

Hawaiian Temple Bodywork is also done quite often in tandem, with two givers at the same time.  Lisa and I have done this and it's incredible to have someone to share Lomi with in this manner.
